I was wondering where Jean Butler was as I viewed this. She's s superior dancer and so much better than Flatley. Thank goodness she appeared in the final few moments. Interesting...I downloaded the video at the time I posted my original comment yesterday. This current video is obviously an updated version (perhaps because someone else made a similar comment).

Why did I watch this religiously as a 5 year old? I was FASCINATED by this whole tape and watched this instead of Disney movies. I loved it so dang much 🥲 im also now realizing where my need for synchronization and order comes from 😂

I have always loved Riverdance from their first appearance at the Eurovision way back. However, I do think Jean was overshadowed by Michael Flatley. From Day1 he oozed arrogance and wanting to be the Big I am’ so he rather alienated me. Jean and the rest of the dancers were truly amazing - I get goosebumps every time I watch. 😊

Michael Flatley was insane, when I first saw lord of the Rings I was in awe of how fantastic and powerful Michael was, bias loss to the Riverdance organisers and producers, and MF took it to another level.
